FOMO

FOMO     Fomo is a word that indicates to the fear of missing out. The term was created by a Harvard MBA named Patrick J. Mc.Ginnis. For me I never had a time were I FOMO, however I do know people who felt like that wether it was  because  of their friends or family.

The Civil Rights Movement

The Civil Rights Movement        Civil Rights are the rights of citizens to freedom and equality (to the colored). The Civil Rights movement was decades ago and it was about getting the colored (blacks) citizens have the same rights as the white. and the blacks fought for that.  The "separated but equal mentality" is that black and white people are segregated  yet are treated the same and have the same rights. I think it is important to learn about these historical events so that I know how the past world changed and how hero's like Martin Luther King Jr.  and Rose parks changed the history of the world. Their struggle actually makes me feel thankful that I wasn't there to feel the pain. A lot of people might relate to this legendary movement that changed...

Something I've learned

Something I've learned     Throughout my living years I've learned a lot of stuff throughout experience and stories said by other people. One  of the  things that I have learned is listening to what others have to say. I always used to not care about what other people had to say, I though I was the right one in whatever situation. Yet, when I started listening to other people's ideas/thoughts I acknowledged a different perspective on listening. I started having beliefs that rely on what people have to say and benefit to their sayings.

23 Year Old Woman Raises 200 Orphans

23 Year Old Woman Raises 200 Orphans "23 Year old American raises 200 orphans" is a video that talk about a girl who had a dream which is to change the life of the 80 million orphans in the world. Her journey started by one girl named Hema. She then found a land that is for 5,000 dollars, she told her parents to send her her life savings to buy the land. She wanted to build a school and a home for the orphans in Naples. If I had the power to do anything right now, I would search for homes for the homeless people in Egypt.

My Birth

My Birth  A lot of people's birth is really special to their parents or their family in general. People who are there in your birth were probably so happy to see the new born. For my birth, my parents were there of course in addition to my aunts. When I was just a new born I had large,  brown eyes that my family was so amazed by and of course like all the babies I was very chubby. My mom says it was easy for her to give birth to me because it wasn't a labor, she delivered me by a cesarean delivery. My family was so happy to see me since my parents both wished for a baby girl. In my case, I was the only child who was born in Saudi Arabia and not Egypt which is my home country. I lived my whole life in Sa...

An Interesting Quote

An Interesting Quote  A really interesting quote I found was "A friend in need is a friend indeed." This quote is a quote I took in grade 5 and from that day on I keep contemplating about  it no matter where I am.When I took this quote I kept telling all my friends about it and I also helped them acknowledge that not everyone around them can be considered a true friend.  This quote means a friend that helps you at strenuous  moments is a friend you can rely on. If anyone told you that quote it would mean that you are a true friend.

Debate

Debate  The debate about Nature and Nurture was great, yet I feel like I wasn't prepared enough for it which led to me not participating in the debate  a lot. I also think that my oral presentation and answering was summed up as good and needs more work. My overall performance was good and needed more preparation as well. If I would've done this debate again I would prepared more claims and have background knowledge.   This debate helped me understand why I have this kind of behavior. The new ideas that came up in the debate was that nature and nurture are 2 very important roles in a persons personality. The nurture was more persuading to me though I was debating about nature. My personal beliefs are nurture because there are more r...
